How Hum Works

Hum enables internet service providers to increase take rates, reduce acquisition costs, and differentiate their offering in multi-dwelling units.

1. Connect to PMS

The internet provider (ISP) agrees on a data sharing arrangement with the property manager and connects to their Property Management Software (PMS) via Hum (usually using a simple API key).

2. Build Pipeline

The ISP uses guidelines to create targeted customer Pipelines in the Hum platform. An example might be “customers who signed a lease but haven’t moved in yet.” The curated list of relevant prospects is then fed into a marketing automation platform to begin marketing using the ISPs preferred language, graphics, pricing and promotions.

3. Capture Subscriptions

Using unique links, Hum directs the prospects to a checkout page with the ISPs branding to select a plan or speed tier.

4. Confirm and Close

Hum provides this “order” back to the ISP as a hot lead to be closed directly by the ISPs sales team.

As an optional 5th step, Hum can process the full order via integration with the ISP’s OSS / BSS software.
